The Cuyahoga Greenways Plan Update is now underway!
County Planning, in collaboration with the Cuyahoga Greenways Partners, is leading the effort to systematically update the 2019 Cuyahoga Greenways Plan. This update will include the many projects completed over the last five years and will reflect our collaboration on plan development with partners responsible for the Cleveland Citywide Mobility Plan and the NOACA Regional Metroparks Trails Connectivity Study.
Background
The original Cuyahoga Greenways Plan was completed in 2019 using data from 2018. Since that time, multiple communities and partner agencies have been hard at work advancing alignments, from planning to preliminary engineering to construction. With the progress being made, County Planning, in collaboration with the Cuyahoga Greenway Partners, began a systematic update to the 2019 Plan by refreshing underlying bikeway data, developing standards for including routes in the Cuyahoga Greenways Network, adjusting priority routes based on concurrent planning efforts, and reporting on progress made since the initial plan's completion.
