County Planning Celebrates 30th Anniversary on August 1st

On August 1st, the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission celebrates 30 years of land use planning.

Established by the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners on August 1, 1988, the County Planning Commission replaced a Regional Planning Commission that had been operational since 1948. Today, County Planning functions as an independent, Board-governed agency to serve all of Cuyahoga County while also providing planning services to municipalities, villages and townships. Whether the need is for a comprehensive regional study on topics such as housing, retail, zoning, or a city Master Plan, County Planning has the expertise and experience to provide it. Join us as we celebrate 30 years of helping our region to grow and as we look forward to continuing our work for a better Cuyahoga County and northeast Ohio.
