Call for Natural Resource Assistance Council Nominations

The District One Natural Resources Assistance Council (NRAC) is a working committee responsible for recommending projects for funds made available to Cuyahoga County through the Ohio Public Works Commission Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation Program.

The District One Public Works Integrating Committee (DOPWIC) is seeking nominations for the District One NRAC, as defined in Section 164.21 (A) of the Ohio Revised Code. Each position serves a three (3) year term. The upcoming term runs from 10/15/2021 through 10/14/2024. Members of District NRACs volunteer their services and are not compensated.

District One has an opening for two (2) Environmental Representatives (Group 1) and one (1) Business/Planning Representative (Group 5). Anyone interested in being considered for the NRAC must represent an agency that falls within the following groups:

  • Group 1: Environmental Representative
    A conservation organization, an environmental advocacy organization, and organization with a primary interest in watershed protection and restoration, such as the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ohio or United States Environmental Protection Agency, or the United States Natural Resources Conservation Service.
  • Group 5: Business/Planning Representative
    An organization representing business, local Realtors, or a planning agency, including a Port Authority, located within the geographical jurisdiction of the appointing integrating committee.
