MINUTES OF THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
DECEMBER 14, 2017
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting of the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission (County Planning) was called to order by Mr. Kelly and the roll call showed a quorum was present.
On a motion by Mayor DiCicco, seconded by Mayor Bobst, the minutes of the November 9, 2017 meeting were duly adopted by unanimous vote.
On a motion by Mayor Infeld, seconded by Mayor Kleem, Resolution 171214-A, authorizing an Agreement with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health for the 2018 “Creating Healthy Communities” Initiative was duly adopted by unanimous vote.
On a motion by Mayor Procuk, seconded by Mr. King, Resolution 171214-B, to table the Resolution for the preliminary Plan for Belmont Place PRD subdivision located in Olmsted Township were duly agreed by unanimous vote.
On a motion by Mayor Bobst, seconded by Mayor Sellers, Resolution 171214-C, approval of creation of the Waterfront Planning and Development Committee of Cuyahoga County Planning Commission was duly adopted by unanimous vote.
Mayor Infeld was thanked for her commitment on the Planning Commission Board, this will be her last meeting.
Mr. Kelly announced that he was leaving Cuyahoga County for private sector and that this would be his last meeting. The County Executive will appoint a new alternate member to replace him.
Mayor Sellers appointment is ending, and it is expected that he will be reappointed.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT
James Sonnhalter introduced fall Co-ops Kayla Keller and Torayye Waite.
Councilperson Simon and Mr. Collier arrived at the meeting.
Mr. Coyne gave a presentation on 2017 projects updates.
There were no items of Old Business.
Mayor Infeld said goodbye and thanked everyone for all the support and kind words.
Councilperson Simon commented on the work Mayor Infeld and Mr. Kelly had accomplished during their time serving on the Board.
COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
Chris Brown and Cody Bruce from K Hovnanian Homes spoke about the Schady Reserve Plat in Olmsted Township and respectfully requested a January 2018 meeting to review the tabled resolution number 171214-B. Mr. Coyne responded that there may be a called meeting if all criteria are met by the developer. The Board members indicated that are available to meet if all statutory deadlines can be met by the applicant.
Councilperson Simon motioned to adjourn the meeting, the motion was seconded by Mayor Sellers and was duly agreed by unanimous vote.
The next scheduled meeting will be on Thursday, February 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with a request pending for a Thursday, January 11, 2018 meeting.
