What is a Master Plan?

A Master Plan outlines a community’s vision for the future and then describes concrete, specific action steps community leaders can undertake to accomplish them. Conducting a Master Plan allows public officials to assess whether the policies and actions they are presently taking are addressing needs and accomplishing the long-term goals.

Is my property in a floodplain?

For floodplain information about properties in Chagrin Falls Township or Olmsted Township, contact County Planning’s Rick Sicha. For other areas, please consult FEMA’s Flood Map Service Center.

How do I find zoning information?

County Planning does not maintain zoning codes or zoning maps for communities in Cuyahoga County. Please contact the municipality in question for zoning information.

Who owns and manages Whiskey Island?

From 2004 to 2014, Wendy Park and the Whiskey Island Marina were owned and operated by Cuyahoga County. The properties are now part of the Cleveland Metroparks Lakefront Reservation. Please contact the Metroparks if you have questions.
